The perfect bathroom floor

Silvyr

I was already considering an ocean-y theme for the bathroom, and I stumbled upon the mosaic section while wandering around Michaels. Not only are these tiles perfect, but one package was *just* the right amount for the bathroom! I'm sure I'll use fewer once I'm finished, because I'll spread them out a bit for grout lines, but it was a very exciting find. I'm just a little concerned about the height, but I think it will be okay, especially because I'm adding in a thick-ish wooden floor.

Lovely colors. One piece of advice, though (and of course you can do as you please, it IS your house) . . . those tiles are meant to be laid down the other way . . . with the rounded areas on the bottom. I found this out when I bought some similar tiles at a tile store & the clerk was doing a bit of a "trial piece" to show me the effect. I didn't say anything, but I was thinking "oops, I would have done it backward!"

Just an observation, if you lay them the other way I dont think there would be room for grout. So they do look correct in the picture. But what ever works for the doll house and builder.

Thanks for the advice. I am planning on laying them down the other way, but this was the easiest way to figure out how they fit and if I had enough!

Since I'll be using a template for the bathroom floor to install these anyway, I think I may do something like lay down a layer of grout or clay and press them in, to get the "grout" lines I want, and have a bit of breathing room for errors :)
