It has 14 rooms, but 2 are small tower rooms, 1 is kind of like a hallway and 2 others are about 5x5 off the kitchen downstairs. The room dividers are moveable, but it is already wired...so I'm not sure how I'm going to get my hand in the tiniest!!

I think it is more like the Josiah Golden house by the same maker, Clell Boyce. I hear about the Joseph Angel house all the time, but no others...and I also can't find anything about Clell Boyce on the internet. In an old catalog from the 80's it has both of the above named houses. I'm so excited I get to work on it this weekend!! I've been working on a Pierce for a friend so this one is being neglected! :( I'll put up the pics from the catalog so you can tell me what you think.

My husband is Clell Boyce and I am responding on his behalf. If it is an original house built by my husband, it should be signed on the bottom. There are others out there claiming to have either designed or built his houses - he has asked me to respond as he is appalled that anyone would try to take credit for his work. His work speaks for itself.

Thanks,

Sally Boyce

I recently purchased a dollhouse which I initially thought to be a Pat & Noel Thomas dollhouse but after further investigation, I am now certain it is a Clell Boyce dollhouse. The seller told me they purchased the house over 20 years ago for $10K and that it had a previous owner of many years at the time they bought the house. It is a truly a work of art w/ the most beautiful hardwood floors with inlay designs. I would just like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Clell Boyce for sharing all of the useful info on this forum and for the pictures as well, they will be very helpful when I begin adding the finishing touches to this project. I am most grateful to both Mr. and Mrs. Boyce for all of their hard work and dedication in creating the most wonderful dollhouses ever, thank you so very much!

Hello,

I finally picked up the Joseph Engel house I purchased in CA a year or two ago and now in the process of driving it cross country back to the east coast, I’m so very excited! In loading it to the rental vehicle, I had to lay the house on its back side to get it to fit in the rental vehicle and it appears to have been signed by Mr. Clell Boyce in 1991. The house is 90% finished, is fully wired and has beautiful inlaid hardwood flooring and beautiful doors with etched glass. There are a few missing windows, however, the previous owner was so kind and recently sent me a box containing the missing Lawbre windows and other miscellaneous parts needed to complete the project. I am now wondering if anyone might have an idea as to the $value of this dollhouse,  I’m planning to insure it on a policy separate from my homeowners policy and it would be helpful to know its approximate value.

Thank you!
