Roof on 2nd floor

doxielady1508

I really like how my roof turned out. I made it look like it was weathered, so I shaded the stained shingles with browns and black to also add shadows. Adding the moss to the edges also gave it character...another idea I found in here. I couldn't get the roof trim to bend, so I used air-dry clay instead that I traced from the orginal trims. I love how they turned out! My roof was another story: no way I wanted the stress of soaking and then, bending that roof, so I used the uncut clapboard siding and it worked like a charm. They are very sturdy...just like the orginal roof. (I am thinking of ways all the time to improvise..lol)
