There was only room enough for four desks downstairs, so I am going to build the other two which came in the kit and put them upstairs to make a small library/study room.

Hi Tiffany, The blackboard came in the kit, but it would be pretty easy to make one yourself by painting thin wood black, and surrounding it with tiny molding. for the tray at the bottom, either use a molding with an indentation for the chalk, or a strip of thin wood a little wider than your molding glued onto the bottom with a 1/32 square of basswood on the upper edge of that strip to form a chalk holder.
