Take your wired greenery and bend the end around the thread-wrapped ring to determine the length needed. Allow a little extra, so that you can twist the ends together to form a circle. Cut the greenery with your pliers, and use them to twist the ends together. Test the fit, by pushing the wrapped ring into the greenery circle. Adjust if necessary. Apply glue to the inside circle of the greenery with a toothpick. Push the thread-wrapped ring into the circle from the front - that way, any excess glue will be pushed to the back, out of sight. You can glue the charm in place, but it may not be necessary.

(In this photo, the charm is a candy cane, and it did need to be glued - it kept turning to the side! I put a little glue on the bottom tip, and it stayed nicely where I wanted it.)
