Veiled

Here is what I'm thinking for the floor plan: Attic level: boys and girls bedrooms and jack-and-jill bathroom, bathroom with false door to "hall" which receives the stairs from the second floor. In reality, that's where I'll stash all my electrics since I'm using round wire and batteries rather than tape wire and a transformer. Second level: master suite with bedroom and office to left, bathroom to right, and stairwell passing through. There will be a landing in the foreground (currently covered with blue masking tape), and doors from the bedroom and bath will open onto this. To make it a truer "suite," there is a passage behind the stairwells (toward the front of the house and further from the camera) between the parents' bed and bath. Main level: Living room with lots of play space for kids to left, a rather compact kitchen to the right, and stairwell ascending away from the viewer between them. There is hall space toward the back of the house to enter the kitchen. I am debting placing a half bath beneath the stairwell, vs. having that space open to the kitchen or using it for a washer/dryer. Thoughts?

I like your plan for hiding the electricals on the third floor. Very good idea!

Half bath vs. laundry: Both are good options. If it were me, I’d go with whichever felt more fun to put together. Which inspires you more?

Please keep pictures of your progress coming! It’s a very fine house.

Your plans sound great. The family might like an eat in kitchen in that space instead then the laundry could be moved upstairs somewhere.
