I need advise. I thought semi-gloss poly would be ok on exterior, but it made my roof tiles look like plastic. For the sake of evenness, I'm going to finish it with semi-gloss. But I want to know if I go over it with poly matte it would tone down the shine. In my defense I did a test on an extra tile, but was more worried to make sure the poly didn't melt t he foam. I didn't really notice the shine. Please let me know what you think.

Yes it will cover over the shine. It may take a couple coats, but it'll be fine.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I will have to go buy some. Hubby tested positive for covid. This morning I was negative, then showed symptoms. I hope it's just flu! But, no going to the store till I know for sure. I could order online, but right now I feel like crap.
