The hardest decision

After much debate, this is where we settled on putting the second staircase. It allowed me to add a reading nook under the stairs and hide the fact that I wasn't able to find the model of staircase my dad bought. He substituted a lot of the original kit items like windows and doors for pre-made Houseworks items. Partially it was to reduce building time, but mostly it was because we had a great hobby shop in town and he understood that working windows were much more fun. However, after buying three different models of vintage staircases, none of which worked, I had to make my own.
