Kells 398 Posted August 29, 2021 Did the table up to match the pie safe. This awful thing was such bright, glossy white that it looked like plastic! I need to get out an X-Acto blade and scuff up that table top more, as well as darken/age the wood. But I'm happy with how the blue-green distressing on both pieces turned out. 😀 Quote Link to comment
havanaholly 11,831 Posted August 30, 2021 Less is more with the X-Acto blade. Maybe age/ distress/ age/distress for wear & tear over time. A very little bit of sandpapering on the table's stringer corners and legs, maybe tiny toothprints where the kids or puppies used parts to teethe on. Kells 398 Posted August 30, 2021 As always, thank you for the tips, Holly! I'll use the same techniques I do on flooring. Not overdo the gouges to create knife scratches, rough up a bit with a wire brush, etc. I'll use a lighter hand than I did on that awful sink, lol. Quote Link to comment
