Not sure if this'll work, but I'm putting masking tape over the whole, then pasting the scrapbook paper over the top.  Hopefully it doesn't show.

Maybe fill it in with cut and glued popsicle sticks?

I think I have a bunch of the scraps from punching out the pieces in a shoe box somewhere.  Hopefully I can either find a piece big enough or piece some of the smaller pieces together to fill this in.
