No, actually I think you are ok.  This picture seriously looks like the woodstove in my dad's tobacco barn stripping room -where the tobacco leaves are stripped from the stalks and packed into bales.  This took place in January/February thus the need of a stove!  I would maybe add a bit of a rust color here and there.... but overall it looks great. 

 

I've seen your inspiration photograph on Pinterest and thought yes!......Now I'll just be happy to watch yours develop and what a great start!

Thanks so much! I'm at the stage where a lot of things are half-done, and I feel like I need to wait until more is closer to finished before I go back and tweak anything. Overall, it's going in the direction I have in my head.  Lots of very cool accessories are in the works, too.
