Living Room: Looking up Stairwell

How did you get that solid stain? These are the nicest  cleanest looking Glencroft stairs I can recall seeing --nice work! 

Hi @Elsbeth! Thank you so much! I ended up making new risers and treads out of basswood then gave the whole thing two coats of stain... One for a base layer and another to even it out. I then sanded the front of the treads a bit before sealing to simulate a little wear.
