I could figure out a way to get a realistic faux leather piping after trying several time with methods available online. So I decided to sew the piping. Honestly it is the same amount of work (well maybe not sewing it on) as the glue on method and it looks much more authentic.

The piping looks perfect. That fabric looks very realistic was it easy to work with, it has the appearance of thick stuff, but that would be extremely difficult to work with.
