I found out the the doors from the changing room to the spa are sliding doors, not shojis, as I expected them to be. I'm not disappointed, they look nice, but the frosted "glass" for the windows in the doors was quite small, and there isn't a lot holding it in there.

Straight through the doors, to the right of the sink, you can also see part of a small bench with a tiny tatami on it that I made today.

Thanks Cathy, I love working on it! I think they are fairly rare. They were offered on subscription, and only in Japan and Italy. I expect a lot of people never finished the subscription. So far, I only have seen nine others on the internet, and three or four I found pictures of didn't have links to the original websites where they came from.

Other Ryokans like mine

I have been trying to track them down, and when I find the originals, I put a link to the original website, but they are pretty elusive.
