Polymer Clay Miniature Pug

MLI Designs

well, I keep trying to get my piggies faces but it looks more like my neighbors bulldog. So I'll probably have a bulldog for my dollhouse. Tomorrow I bake, sand, and paint it. Let's give him a name...lol.

Wow, he is amazing! He does sort of look like a cross between a pug, (his tail), and a bulldog, (his face), but he is adorable!

You seem to be a natural, he is very good. I made several polymer clay dachshunds when I was working on the Beaumont and didn't bake them, wish I had because grand kids ruined a few of them.

@kathi17 @Cathy :) @WyckedWood @Debora59 you all are such inspirational miniaturists. I admire all your work and am grateful for your kind words.

ive mentioned I had a yoga wear company. I handmade everything. I cut the patterns for my clothes, did all the sewing, dying, screen printing, crystal embellishment, embroidery,etc..... It was very detailed work. I also made polymer jewelry. All of this helps me in being creative with home staging and especially with my miniatures. Of course the fact that I grew up watching both of my parents creating miniatures and helping them when they were overwhelmed with orders helps tremendously.

still with all that under my belt I don't have that knack of creating true scale and realistic miniatures. I hope to become more refined in all mediums so that I can make masterpieces like each one of you.

As far as my pug, I had to make another one that was smaller. The original one I made looked like a bulldog in size and expression. I could use it but I didn't want my neighbor to think I was obsessively in love with his bullie (he has a bulldog that we babysit since he was a baby). Does that sound silly?
