Progress pic on the 1/6 scale staircase inspired by Downton Abbey and Highclere Castle. The second floor staircase room box shell when completed will fit over the first floor staircase room box, but the balusters and 2 inch base strip they are setting on will be secured to the top of the first floor. This is a trick I learned from the 1/6 scale JP Morgan doll house.
I am not happy with the results of the stained floor in the hallway. I may recut that floor and match the grain better. But the rest is coming along nicely. I should have the last wall in the adjoining bedroom wallpapered and the door casings in by tomorrow late. The room boxes are not yet completely put together yet so that's why you see daylight in some corners. Beamed ceiling and chandeliers go in last
