Getting wallpaper to stick

amandaj

This wall is made from foam core board and I had a great deal of trouble making the wallpaper stick. In the end, I used superglue on the edge to smooth it down as it kept bubbling. Not sure what I need to do next time to ensure this doesn't happen, but I think it would have been easier to use wood!

I am not an expert as I have only made one foamcore wall. I used gesso on both sides of the wall (I think you have to do this at the same time) and then I applied the wallpaper on both sides. I use mostly scrapbook paper and apply with tacky glue. Then I put channel molding on the rough exposed edge. So far, all is well.
