Duracraft San Franciscan

fbingha

My second dollhouse. Yes, it looks very close to Robin Carey's San Franciscan. My daughter wanted me to make hers look like Robin's.

LOVE the San Fran!! That looks like a LOT of fiddly painting...hat's off to you for getting all of those bits painted one by one! I have promised the husband a "crazy Russian folk house" someday, but oh, I dread all of that wee gingerbread!

I love the SF by Robin Carey- and I think you did a great job of recreating it!  :)  I think your daughter should be quite pleased!

It is a lot of work but I painted everything piece by piece before gluing them on. I would go crazy if I tried painting after gluing everything together.

This is a fabulous build! I too have been asked to do a San Fran in the Robin Carey style; I am finding that she apparently added a number of her own features, like those little square purple and yellow window frame accents that I will have to make from scrap. Like you, I am not adding the bump-out on the attic right, or the upper door panels. I did find the front yard railing that she used: http://heritagelaserworks.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_52&products_id=396
