Guest Posted November 22, 2015 Is this just the strangest coincidence! Today I completely stripped out the Kensington and tomorrow I'll use the shell as a pattern to cut new wood.......I didn't do a pic but right now we are neck and neck........stranger still that these are both our first builds! Go for it Chris! Quote Link to comment
KathieB 6,117 Posted November 22, 2015 Say whaaat? I just looked at the entire gallery from start to this. What possessed you to rehab your lovely original finishes? Quote Link to comment
Soapz 710 Posted November 22, 2015 Well, let's just say that my skill level when I started the Worthington were not what they are today. The humidity had all the wallpaper making waves - figuratively and literally, I'm afraid. So, I decided a major overhaul is needed and maybe this time around I will finish it. At least that's the plan for now. Also, I found windows that almost fit and they look so much better than what came with the house, so they will go in. Right now, I'm hunting for a front door to go with them. I'm currently using all my baking sheets to soak veneer for wall panels, I have a ton of light fixtures I want to wire in - tons of stuff to do with the house. But most importantly: I need to decide what furniture goes in so I can choose the right wallpaper. That was such a drama last time.... Quote Link to comment
KathieB 6,117 Posted November 22, 2015 It pained me to see the missing parquet, but now I look forward to the re-do. :) Quote Link to comment
Soapz 710 Posted November 22, 2015 Believe me, I just about cried about the parquet floor - it took forever to make........ Quote Link to comment
