The Tree Ring rug -- 5 seconds

You know I usually keep track of my time when stitching...but I don't think I've ever captured the first stitch of a project. One French knot down....
As you can see, this will be a completely freehand project. I've made no pattern or markings on the fabric.
My inspiration is a lovely rug by YL Designs called the Woody Wood Rug. While theirs is printed, mine will be done in French knots. I like the idea of its being an organic process for an organic subject matter. And, I can just stop stitching once I reach the diameter I want.
While this is intended for the secret build, there is the off chance I may not have enough time to finish it. I'll give it my best shot, though.
