Thank you for your encouragement. I have cut the material for the skirt, but I am not sure if I like it or will use it. The top of the real bench is more ornate than the top of this bench. The ornateness of the skirt on the original seems to balance the original's top. Since I made the top less ornate than the original, I question whether the skirt on the copy would be out of place. I may post pics and take another vote. Thank you for your comments. They are very helpful.
