Replaced the stairs with steps I found at the thrift store, painted them grey

 

The sofa set is solid, no easily broken legs, but I am not fond of the fabric, trying to decide if I can change the fabric.

 

I'm trying to use what I have, making it less expensive, and playable.

Use thinned paint and let it soak in, more like staining than over-painting. Avoid build-up that might dry and flake off.
