The Parrot

This room was created for a 10-year-old stepdaughter in 2005. It combined mural painting with 3-D embellishments, like the paper flowers, a palm tree with a burlap trunk and a plaster of paris parrot. A little hut was constructed with garden fencing and a futon pillow covered with corduroy printed like leopard skin.
The background was sponge painted. The leaf was plastic.
