The box itself is my usual plum wood and the lid is some recycled vintage ebony from an old cracked statue someone was throwing away.

It is completely hollowed on the inside so it can be used for storage.

Most of the beauty of wood turnings is the wood. Sometimes the simple shapes look better than complex ones because they allow the natural beauty to show.
