Charlie's room

I added lights behind the castle. Just some desk lamps that clip on.

Thanks for showing us Charlie's room and all your theme-related projects displayed together. I am very much into traditional dollhouses, but I am overwhelmingly impressed with your imagination and creativity revolving around your son's interests.

I would be cautious about his friends coming over to play, as his room looks like a piece of Heaven in the world of a child, so it would be easy for them to get carried away. I am sure you want them to have fun, but I am hoping Charlie will ask them to treat his toys with respect.

Funny you should say that. The boys that sleep over last night, already got yelled at for being too rough with the castle. I told them, " if you can't be respectful to all of my hard work, I won't let you play here." Needless to say, they have had non destructive play ever since. It's funny. I didn't think about new kids wanting to unroll scrolls , dump out treasure chests and cut down trees with Hargrids axe. Charlie knows it's basically props. Now the other kids do too, but it guess it will be a non stop conversation with any new kids who come over.

No, this isn't something I would expect kids to do on a daily basis, but after seeing this in writing, I have to admit it sounds tempting. I believe you are teaching these kids how to appreciate art and use it to expand their imagination. They can be adventurous without being destructive.
