Soapz 710 Posted June 16, 2014 I think it is great- why would that get you banned? Quote Link to comment
Steve Panner 367 Posted June 16, 2014 Thanks! It's kind of a long story, but basically I made a second account only for woodturning, which the rules say it's ok. I posted this vase and a few hours later the new account was banned. Their message said I'm not allowed to use eBay anymore, on new or existing accounts. Don't know why, probably because I'm in a high fraud country, or they thought something is fishy, but I'm expected to lose access to my main account at any time, since it is associated with the banned account. Also they said not to message them back since they won't reply. Quote Link to comment
Steve Panner 367 Posted June 16, 2014 I do, but I only ran a couple of tests on it, not looking very promising. I had some items there for two weeks once and nothing. It is probably my only option, but kinda slim. Quote Link to comment
Soapz 710 Posted June 16, 2014 How exactly are you signed up with ebay? ebay.com? If so, try signing up with an European ebay (like ebay.de) use your parents/siblings and a new paypal account and list items worldwide. I read this on an ebay discussion forum where booksellers have problems with getting banned. Steve, I have no idea if that works, but I set up this scenario with my parents who want to sell some of their stuff, but the paypal account is linked to my second bank account. So far no problems. My ebay account was set up originally on the German ebay (and I can't seem to change the settings to the US.) and even though the paypal account has a different name it let me connect it to ebay. 1 Quote Link to comment
