I just love the detail that was added at the corners of the baseboards and the crown molding! I'm also happy that the builder chose to leave out the weird addition in the wall that took up space... I just can't figure out what that design feature is about.

I think the addition in this room is supposed to block off the area where the stairs/chimney would be. Otherwise the back of the bedroom is technically occupying the space that would be taken up by the stairway. (But a lot of people leave it out!)
