kissing ball

WyckedWood

I finished a "kissing ball". Similar to hanging a sprig of mistletoe over the doorway, the kissing balls are Victorian apparently. They were made from boxwood. I made mine by forming a ball of green polymer clay, sticking a pin in the top so I had a hole to hang it by, then cooking. I had a small daisy punch by fiskars, the petals were similar in shape to boxwood. I painted the paper I used dark green on one side and lighter green on the opposite side. Punched out many many leaves (lol) and applied them with tacky glue. This may have been one of those projects that is actually more trouble than it was worth lol...but I guess its kinda cute and different, and I really wanted to hang something from the tiny holes in the porch trim.
