November 28th. I completed the staircases today. The hall wallpaper is in place as well. Wish I hadn't been so determined to get the staircases in today! I wanted to poly the wood and should have. Now I've decided I want to do it for sure and it's going to be a challenge now that the staircases are glued into place. If I don't do it, I won't be happy with how it looks...so...that will be one of the projects for the weekend!
I haven't glued in any of the railings yet cuz i want to get the wood flooring installed first. I think it will make life much easier if I wait :whistle:
I can't believe I almost didn't put the red wallpaper in the main hallway. Now that it's in, I LOVE it! I have never used scrapbook paper in one of my houses before...only because the sheets are shorter than alot of the walls that i've papered. Personally i don't like piecing together scrapbook paper to complete a wall because of the seams, but after the front center wall is glued into place, I don't think you'll be able to see the area that i pieced together.
Anyway, I used quick grip glue cuz it holds so quick but it's sooooo messy! I was very careful with the parts that will be exposed. The sides that won't show, i wasn't so careful with. I'll post more pictures in webshots later this week.
