porches almost done

cranky

well, i have the roofs permanently attached, the soffits in, just need to paint the posts, and put floorboards down. i am big on white trim, so at this point, the posts and soffit will be white. i will also glue a small trim piece around the soffits after the siding is done. i am also not sure if i am going to put the porch boards down with small gaps, or fit tight like an inside floor. it seems to me, if the porch was covered, the boards were tight. any thoughts????

Now, now...no negative talk... :p You're going to do a brilliant job, Linda!

The porch looks great. I personally would go with porch boards close together. From the research I did while working on the Newport porch, that was what I saw in reference photos.
