garf stairs
Okay, here's a couple (hehe) more shots, but with the stairs. They aren't permanently attatched yet because i need to wallpaper. I am including a shot of the most likely wallpaper. it's the one that is calling the loudest to me and will match the stair runner better. I wanted the rose colored runner but it's just too narrow and wouldn't look right. I still have modification sto make to the staircases and will add alot of trim and railings to dress it up. now that the stairs are glued together tho i will be able to add the top step which i will have to measure and cut. (for both floors. Where it comes up into the attic space, i will have stairs going down into the room but will leave an opening so the people can have an option to enter the room down the couple of steps or to go into the other part of the attic. i'm undecided about what to do with this room...i wanted the step up to use for either a stage in a nursery or to have a display area for gowns on dress maker dummies. this may be a sewing room. i can't decide between the two. obviously the room with bookshelves will be a library. on the second floor the large room with the staircase will be a common room, very comfy. with all the sitting/living areas in this house i have really considered making this into a bed and breakfast. the upstairs would be the living area for the owners. we shall see i havent decided yet. i just thought that since the dining room will be huge and with all the living areas it would be a good idea. The staircase on the main floor was supposed to be over to the left another inch and the octagonal window was centered in the space. now that the staircase is together obviously it's not right. don't think i'll move it tho. anyway it will have a built in bench with a cushion under the octagonal window. I think that little corner of the room is my favorite in the whole house. Anyway, lots more modifications but you get the general idea.
