My house is finally at the stage that i can show pictures and you can see my changes without wondering what is what. just got done sanding the spackle and priming this afternoon. I hope to get the staircases put together tomorrow and to dry fit them into place so you can get my idea of how they will go.

the house will have a 3 story extension on either side.

the retangular dead space between the dining room on the first floor and the rooms on the 2nd floor will be covered with a piece of stained wood to hide the opening. it was the easiest way to deal with the floor/ceiling changes in this house. I didn't want to get rid of the cool room above the dining room. i like the size of it and wanted to keep that the same. (that room will be the library with built in bookcases where the closets are supposed to go). anyway i would have to do more modifications in order to get rid of that dead space. i can live with how i did it...so....
