Deb
Then I found an old Singer at a yard sale. I love her! Reminds me of my mom`s black singer..Has the same oil smell when it runs. Ahhh! Memories. <inhaling deeply and smiling> I learned to sew on an old black Singer and loved it. I'd rather use a treadle any day, but the antique status makes them a bit pricey now. I have a Brother that I use for day to day stuff and it's a little workhorse. For most daily life things, it's perfect. Bells and whistles aren't always needed and can overcomplicate things if someone is just looking for a straight seam machine. I'm a quilter and do machine quilting so I need a top of the line kind of machine. My friend Kathy has a Juki. She let me pet it. <drooling> Deb
