LeeB
I am working on a Glencroft and have made it to the stage of assembling the roof. The front gable over the door has a "ski-jump" curve. There may be a proper architectural term for it but I don't know what it is. The issue I am dealing with is trying to bend the piece to fit the required curve without breaking the plywood. I am wondering if it is possible to steam it in order to make it more flexible. I don't want to make the glue in the plywood deteriorate. Has anyone ever tried this or have any other tips for bending it successfully?
havanaholly
Lee, I steamed that rascal, and also wound up scoring the underside about 1/3 of the way through (I filled in the scores later with spackle).
