Tennyson Greenleaf

Hello, I recently bought an already constructed and painted Tennyson that needs some TLC. I’m thinking of replacing the windows, but I don’t know the exact opening sizes. I don’t want to take the existing windows out without knowing whether I can find suitable replacements. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum. Sorry for the delay - we had to turn on post moderation for new members because we were having so much trouble with spam. I deleted your other post in the My First Dollhouse subforum.

Can't you just measure the windows in the house you have? Commercially available windows (like Houseworks) aren't likely to fit, but you can enlarge the holes if you want to use those. Otherwise I would just pop off the trim, replace the plastic (you can buy plastic sheets from hobby shops, no need to use the "real" ones that came with the kit) and then repaint the trim and put it back on. If the trim gets damaged or you want to upgrade, there are lots of options: https://miniatures.com/shop-by-product/building-materials/moulding-and-trim/

Thanks, this is helpful. It’s hard to get the exact size without removing the trim…which is perhaps what I should do. The windows have mullions so I’m worried that they may be damaged if I replace the plastic. I’ll give it a try. If that fails I may buy a Tennyson kit on ebay and use the windows from that kit.
Thank you again for your help!

Thank you…I successfully removed the plastic. I’ll have to replace it and the trim, but it has made it so much easier to restore!
