It could be that the kit was stored on end rather than flat. Gravity will cause some curving. Try dampening both sides of the piece with water, cover with a piece of waxed paper, and weight it down with heavy books or something similar. Or layer the sheets between damp paper towels or newsprint and weight the whole stack. Leave it for several days to dry naturally, and the waviness should be gone.
