Help with lighting/wiring

Recommended Posts

I'm building the Half Scale Fairfield. I want to use the type of lights, wires and battery boxes that came with the half scale room kits I was building before. I find led lights, wires and battery boxes online that come with 3 lights. I know I will buy battery boxes that use either AA or AAA batteries. I'm just not sure which led lights and which type extra wire to purchase that will be the same as what comes with the battery boxes. I will make my own globes, lamp shades, etc. I can't afford most of the completed lights/lamps that I'm finding online. Will someone be able to help me? All help will be much appreciated.

Hello. I like this website for well priced LEDs and components: https://evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds

Here you’ll find the wire you need as well as different sized LEDs. The descriptions of each LED will tell you what size battery to use it with. And if you can’t work it out, email them. I’ve found them really helpful.

I also wrote this blog post about using the string LEDs for lighting in case that helps too: https://www.redcottageminiatures.com/blog/ledlighttut

Yes, half scale lights are very expensive!!
