Thanks Nutti!

I have a real problem with getting the joins in towers and bays to come out looking smooth. I can usually get them together with no gaps, but when it comes to a smooth finish, even with spackling, I'm just not happy with the way it looks.

So, I went off surfing around the forum looking for ideas and came across Nutti's McKinely blog. My little eyes lit up when I saw the ingenious idea of using bamboo skewers to give a rounded look to the joins on the tower sections. I had some 36" mini dowels, cut them to height and glued 'em on. Worked like a charm! I don't think I'll ever do it any other way now.

Thanks for blogging that tip Nutti! It really made a difference. ;)

That rounded look on the edges was just what I needed so I'm thrilled with the results.

Pictures coming soon. The structural work is all done and I'm down to the little bits now. If all goes well, I'll have the Lily completed next weekend.
