Yeah, you have to keep an eye on eBay. These have been out of production a long time, but everyone bought them in 1978, intending to fill a dollhouse, so there are a lot of kits hiding under people's beds and in their attics, basements, and garages.

For quicker gratification, you can try calling Auntie Em's and seeing if they have any in stock. They buy from estate sales and make a point of picking up old stuff. It's not uncommon for dollhouse shops to do that, so you might also want to call some of the stores in the Lake George/Saratoga Springs area or in Toronto, whichever is closer for you.

You can always shop on EBAY I see them when looking for X-Acto tools. By the way when staining wood for furniture and trim try using analyn dye soluable in alcohol. It colors the wood without obscuring the grain. Ordinary pigmented stains like minwax are too heavy in appearance for what we are doing. I would have used Floquil FloPaque stains but it appears they are no longer available probably due to environmental problems...their solvent was rather nasty
