What did you say are the ceiling heights in this miniature? They seem like they would 12' at least based on the proportions I keep seeing in your photos.

So would that be 13' then? Not sure if I'm doing the math right.

not sure what your asking? we don't no how high the ceilings were in the real life mansion, ceiling heights vary greatly, they could have been 12 ft or 15ft ceilings or higher, is this what your referring to?

I was just thinking what the actual inches of your dh would translate into for an actual RL wall measurement. In 1:12 an 8" wall would be 8' so in 1:6 would that 8" wall then be a 4' wall whereas in 1:24 the 8" wall would be a 16' wall or am I mixed up?

I don't think so, the ceiling heights are at least 26 inches so half of that in RL feet would make a 13 ft ceiling unless the builder likes their ceiling higher , like what I did in my French Chateau a 1:12 scale. I love big rooms with high ceilings in my dollhouses that's why I started to scratch build, I gave the Chateau 12 in ceiling heights Hope that helps. I have some information on the real life JP Morgan mansion, I will see if it takes about actual ceiling height in that, But an architect built this for them as a replica, I am sure he got it right and I hope I am representing it correctly as well:-)
