Well here is my disaster!! This is purchased mini carpet I have had for quite a few years. Have been saving it lovingly for this bedroom. Well my first mistake was to glue the carpet to poster board with WALLPAPER PASTE! It was too moist so it was wrinkled when dry. it worked on my walls but not here. So anyway it is wrinkled cardboard and all so I decide to press it. Darn! I don't know what that stuff is made out of but it is not fabric fiber! my iron was just on warm setting and it melted it.!! All was ok as long as I pressed the cardboard side but when I (and I knew better) turned it over to press the carpet side.....instant MELT! I am pretty discouraged with my floors though all in all. it is hard to hide the edges because of my thin baseboard. now this.........I may just glue her down and try to lay something over the melted spot at least for now. I can change it some other day ........After doing the living room twice I hate to re do this too LOL oh well.......onward I go.........
