Are you leaving your stairs open for use underneath or are they closed in as the kit pictures are? I thought I remembered in one of your posts that you were bashing the staircase somehow.

Hi Selkie, yes you are right I was going to turn the stairs round so that I could fit in a bathroom on the landing but after much experimenting I found a new way to do it and decided to go back to the original stairs as I wanted to put in an angled wall with a door to separate the kitchen from the hallway. Pictures to follow when I have finished hiding all the lighting cables
