So my shingle idea didn't work out like I planned. When I held it up to the siding the shingles looked HUGE and disproportionate to the siding (I'm using 3/8 inch lap), so I decided to use siding under the eaves.

I ignored the instructions about installing the siding BEFORE painting and went ahead and painted it all so that I could get all the edges more easily.

I wasn't happy with the mullions in the round windows. I know it's an optical illusion, but they look larger than the ones in the vertical bay windows below. And I wanted to do stain glass windows, so.....
