I painted the ice box and sink white - the left corner of the little house is rather dark, and I thought the brown appliances would disappear into the background. The sink pump was red (I have no idea why - my grandma had that kind of pump, and it was not red) so I painted it silver. I touched up the gold trim, and voila. I made Christmas seat cushions for the chairs.
