Courtyard - left side in progress

This courtyard was inspired by two that I really loved...the first was the courtyard in the apartment I lived in for 4 years in Paris. The second was the courtyard that belonged to this eccentric orchestra conductor in the Marais, in whose extra apartment we stayed in while visiting Paris last summer. If I could imagine a French Garden of Eden...it would have been this place.

I'm still working on flowers & plants from kits. Not exactly my forte...I can't seem to get tulip petals to curl like tulips or hollyhocks to have the right finish. [sigh]
