Testing the pages. I tried to keep the pages level and even as much as possible. Once the panels were glued, I tried to make sure the part that will make up the spine was as even as I could make it. Then I applied a thin smear of Tacky Glue to the spine to "bind" the pages together. Once that "bind" was dry enough, I cut out a rectangular strip from an index card. That was folded/creased/glued to the spine to create a protective cover for the pages (and to help me to glue the entire thing to my next project -- the actual book cover).
