DocGreen 226 Posted April 16, 2012 You need to place some kinda weight on the boards while the glue sets. Also have the problem with shingles. BTW, you can buy iron on 3/4" veneer and eliminate the problem altogether. I have used red oak with good results. They can be found at most big box stores. The only reason I did it this way was I was trying to save money by using left over siding strips, like I said.... next time I'm not going to worry about "saving" money; I'm going to worry about saving time.
