Adams - Front with Porch Roof
The roof pieces are scribed to denote shingles. I can't tell if the kit came that way or Mr. Kessler did it himself. The scribing seems to be exceptionally uniform, almost as if done mechanically, but Mr. Kessler was very precise in what he did, so it may be his work. The chimney bricks are also scribed.
Update: Score, snore ... doesn't matter. The porch roof will be replaced with corrugated tin, and the main roof will be cedar shake shingles, which we happen to have on hand. Also, the chimney's gone. It's a double flue chimney. There's certainly no room for a fireplace. We'll have a pot bellied stove in the center of the room and run a chimney right up through the attice and the roof. the gingerbread and porch railings are also gone, to be replace by something a bit more rustic.
