Inspiration ceiling..... anyone have any idea how to do this easy

I know I saw a tutorial for this out there somewhere, can't locate it. In the tut they used different widths of plain stripwood. This looks like you could recreate it with crown molding and square basswood "beams" on top of bass wood planks to ensure the grain is in keeping with the scale (as opposed to staining the plywood ceiling of the kit).

hmmm "stacking" stripes of wood... that is a good idea... and I think I have enough in my stash.... I did a "sorta" fancy ceiling in my niece's Harry Potter house... but nothing this elaborate... I will have to dig in my stash and see what I have... thanks

I'm thinking about this for my Fairfield too, also helps hide recessed lighting! It would be neat to try adding the crown molding to the interior coffers too!
