yellow

So, this is "canary" yellow. I used glossy latex in a stock color, figuring it would be a contrast to the satin finish I'll likely use on future house projects. I just have to be sure not to photograph it with the flash straight on! The color is more school bus-like than I thought it would be, but it's okay considering the trailer's previous use as a carnival hot dog vendor. It's kind of mustardy.

Thanks, I've read a lot of interesting real life stories while researching vintage trailers, so part of the "let's play make-believe" angle on this hobby's fun has been taking bits and pieces of these and coming up with a yarn to go with my project. I've enjoyed other miniaturists' tales here so until I start a blog I'll just let words leak out of my brain sometimes here at this forum. :) After the kit is furnished I hope people will figure out some of the stuff themselves, like "Why is there a big poster of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar above the toilet?"
